シロアリ駆除 Extermination of termites

　住宅を容赦なく攻撃するシロアリ．今日，我が家がシロアリの被害を受けていることが確認された．
　ことの始まりは，昨日，隣家の屋根の補修工事を行っていた建築業者が我が家を訪れ，屋根の一部（ソーラーパネルを設置しているところ）がひずんでいることを知らせにきたことであった．
　屋根裏を調べてもらったところ，耐震補強が十分でないことがわかった（我が家は築30年以上であるので，当時の耐震の基準は低かった）．われわれ一家は，その建築業者から耐震補強工事を請け負っている別の業者を聞き，その業者に依頼した．
　そして今日，別の業者が来て，屋根裏はもちろんのこと，1階の床下を調べたところ，シロアリが大量に生息していることが確認され，既に柱の一部がダメになっていた．こうして，耐震補強工事と同時にシロアリ駆除が始まった．期間は約1週間である．

Thus, the extermination of termites started at the same time as constructing earthquake-proof reinforcement. About one week.
