　東京・秋葉原と茨城・つくばを結ぶ「つくばエクスプレス」（ＴＸ、５８・３キロ）が２４日、運行を開始した。

　運輸政策審議会が「東京圏の都市交通の課題」と位置付けてから２０年、ＪＲ常磐線の混雑緩和と沿線の開発を目指し、着工から１１年。この日は、つくば、守谷、八潮、秋葉原の４駅でそれぞれ出発式が行われ、一番電車が動き出した。Continue
