14日午前7時40分ごろ、千葉県浦安市と東京都江戸川区の間を流れる旧江戸川で、クレーン船が東京電力の高圧送電線に接触し損傷させた。このため、都内14区などの事業所を含む約139万1000戸が停電。東京メトロなどが運休し約31万人の乗客に影響が出た。停電は約3時間後の午前10時44分に全面復旧した。

The cause was in an unexpected place though thought by me that the electricity shortage was a cause in the first report of this news. When I seven years ago incidently was in the laboratory of the university, the power line cut and it became a power failure by the crash of a small airplane. The server in the laboratory crashed by this. I had time serious as restoration was requested from the support engineer.
It seems to be "Weak point of Japan" exposed for the world due to today's large power failure...
