　サッカーのワールドカップ（Ｗ杯）１次リーグで敗退した日本代表チームが24日午後、成田空港着の航空機で帰国した。空港では大勢のサポーターやファンが出迎えた。帰国したのはジーコ監督らスタッフと宮本恒靖主将(Ｇ大阪)ら選手20人。ジーコ監督は厳しい表情で､選手たちは疲れた様子｡中田英寿(ボルトン)高原直泰（ハンブルガーＳＶ）小野伸二(浦和)の３選手はチームに同行しなかった。
